Is this specific to nonfiction?
No. Fiction authors can (and have) found success with the roadmap we provide. In fact, doing the nonfiction-specific work in advance — determining your target audience, finding comparable titles, creating your marketing plan — has led to greater success for fiction authors.
However, nonfiction authors typically have greater advantages for revenue generation outside of book sales (in the form of private consulting, keynote speaking, and driving new leads to the business).
